Summer Events and Festivals in the Eagle River

It’s here! The start to summer has finally come and the Northwoods is more than ready! This summer will be packed full of events again this year! Here are some ideas of what’s going on in the Northwoods and let you in on some of the great traditions and new events happening that you can take part in during you stay in Eagle River!

Northwoods Beerfest

Held June 10th, this festival is rather new to the Eagle River area but it already draws a huge crowd! Who doesn’t love to sample some of the best local Wisconsin breweries?!? With over 30 vendors, this is a great time waiting to be had with family and friends. This event is held at the Hi-Pines Campground which is less than a half a mile drive or a quick 10 min walk. They provide lots of food as well by the Eagle River Rotary Club! And everyone who purchases a ticket gets a free souvenir sampling glass! Space is limited so get your ticket right away! And then make sure to get your reservation settled with us and get a FREE “Beer Bus Pass” that will take you to and from the festival and back to the Hiawatha! You can get your tickets HERE and more information!

4th of July Celebration!

Of course the 4th of July weekend is packed full of fun things to do in Eagle River! There is tradition of our holiday parade that starts at 11am that goes all the way down Wall Street. Then, parts of Wall Street will remain closed off for our continued celebration. Music, fun and games for kids, food and a beer garden will be downtown till 3pm. And at dusk, you can see the bright and colorful fireworks show from the Hi-Pines campground right from your doorstep at our lodge! A perfect ending to a fun packed day! And stick around after the fireworks show for a campfire with marshmallows!

Artarama in the Park

This classic festival is always changing. With new vendors each year and the ones you love who return, this is a great day to get out and find something new! Held July 15th at Riverside Park, there is so much more here than what meets the eye. Live music, food and refreshments and a junior artist’s tent featuring some of the new and shining artists in the area, come out and support our local artists and vendors. And you may just find that thing you had been looking for to fill that spot at home!

Paul Bunyan Festival

Towards the end of summer, we go out with a bang with our favorite Paul Bunyan Festival on August 16th. Held all day, this is some of the best chainsaw carving you will ever see! More live music and the BIGGEST BEEF SANDWHICH is waiting for you! But be sure to get there on time because the food is only served until it’s gone! This is a great time for the whole family and is a great way to pass down the Northwoods traditions to the next generation!

With these events and so much more going on this summer, you better get started on planning your week (or TWO!) vacation in the Northwoods! Let the adventures begin!!
